KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT DIRECTOR
WASHINGTON, D.C.

Chemonics seeks a knowledge management director for an anticipated five-year, USAID-funded health systems strengthening and quality improvement project. This position will be based in Washington. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world. Responsibilities may include: Lead the development and implementation of a strategy for knowledge management (KM) concepts and tools in a complex, multi-country health project. Provide leadership, management oversight, and technical direction for KM. Collaboratively create and implement long-term programmatic vision. Work with program directors and international and regional partners to develop, implement, and monitor a KM strategy for quality improvement and health systems strengthening across a multi-regional setting. Serve as key liaison to international, regional, and national KM partners. Supervise local and international KM team and technical KM consultants. Collaboratively create and implement long-term programmatic vision. QUALIFICATIONS: Advanced degree in public health, public administration, international development, or a related discipline; Minimum 10 years of experience working in knowledge management in the public health sector; Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary, multicultural teams; Knowledge of the health donor community, including USAID; Experience working in multiple resource-limited countries across geographic regions; Demonstrated leadership, integrity, and versatility; Fluency in English required, with excellent written and oral communication skills; language capability in French, Portuguese, or Arabic a plus.
