Has developed a deep understanding of one technology and/or industry area, and has good understanding of several others, inclusive of the methodology and approach required to successfully implement solution.  Can actively engage with clients and leverage relationships to identify additional opportunities to advance relationship or service propositions
Key Responsibilities & Duties
  • Delivery of technical architectural design, strategies and plans for engagements 
  • Technical expert in leading pre-sales meeting or presentation

POSITION DESCRIPTION: Responsibilities include: Writing functional and detailed design specifications. Prepare conceptual design packages and engineering budgetary cost estimates. Responsibilities include providing technical services to Maintenance and Operations with regards to long term maintenance on concrete. Serve in a technical role on structural and civil engineering. Review design drawing and engineering specifications to produce review comments and perform quality assurance assessments. Communicate with vendors and technical consultants to resolve complex issues concerning new technology revision to standards and purchase specifications, test procedure and new project design. Provide mentoring and transfer knowledge, skills and experience to entry level engineers and designers. Civil Engineer  
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Education: B.S. Engineering. Experience: Nine (9) years in the oil industry or similar process industry. Experience must be such that the incumbent is clearly recognized as being capable of project and design assignments . A thorough knowledge of English is required to perform analyses and studies in depth, make professional presentations and keep up with technical advancements; Arabic not required but considered desirable for American incumbents in this position. Must have a thorough knowledge of engineering practices and economic principles, calculation methods, design details, US and Aramco Codes, Standards and Specifications.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Normally designs or studies structural modifications to facilities such as industrial shop buildings, warehouses, residences, marine piers, oil handling, processing, storage and pipeline facilities, facilities, sewer systems, roads and streets. Occasionally called upon to design new facilities of the types mentioned. Prepare approvals of the problem solving report plans, schedules and provides coordination and work direction as required for the preparation of designs, processes, reports, correspondence and related data and assures the efficiency, adequacy and conformance to overall objectives of project. Formulates the basis for an engineering study or project or design in any basic or special engineering field by analyzing and evaluating all data pertinent to assignment. Evaluates data as to scope, effect on existing installation, economic value, long range planning and budgetary considerations. Leads and recommends new continuous improvement solutions for installations or modifications to improve existing facilities and standardization within specific fields of endeavor. Estimates costs, prepares justifications and completes expenditure requests as required. Support project execution and project proposals and initiates detailed work outline and makes decision as to basic processes, and/or equipment. Performs work and or delegates work to other engineers and final development of specialized or technical proposals and studies of proposed projects. Discusses, coordinates and resolves problems with personnel throughout Aramco and subsidiaries and with outside of Company organizations. Acts as technical consultant when required. Reviews work of engineers directed. Checks that reports are written according to established methods of good report presentation. Makes recommendations for future study or report changes. Approves reports for transmittal to supervisor. Reviews work of third party, technology reports, and engineering standards. Lead the implementation and operation of all kind of recommended solutions.
Civil /Safety Engineer  
POSITION DESCRIPTION: To provide Project Management (PM) with safety consultation and environmental, health, and safety (EHS) technical assistance for compliance with all Saudi Arab Government (SAG) EHS regulations and Saudi Aramco EHS requirements while maintaining, and improving PM EHS programs, policies, processes, and procedures. A Successful candidate is expected to: Plan and provide assistance as a consultant on safety matters on construction activities as required. Support preparation of studies, designs, reports, correspondence, and related data on safety reviews. Audit construction facilities for Project Management to insure compliance with company's SMS requirements. Identify safety training programs and applicable safety courses for Project Management. Coordinate findings with other staff groups such as Loss Prevention, fire prevention and Medical Department. Serve as a committee member of special accident investigation committees set up to investigate the cause of major accidents and means of preventing their recurrence.
SELECTION CRITERIA: B. S. Safety/Fire Engineering. A total of 10 years' experience related to the petrochemical or ancillary industries in the field of safety engineering. This experience should include construction work and participation in areas such as accident prevention, traffic control, fire prevention, health physics, hazardous materials, qualitative and quantitative risk analysis, process safety or accident investigation. Proven ability to communicate, in technical English, with science and engineering peers, Division Heads, Department Heads, and Admin. Area Heads. Must be able to produce clear, concise oral and written reports in English. Knowledge of safety engineering practices and economic principles, calculation methods, design details, U.S. and Saudi Aramco fire and safety codes, standards and specifications. Certifications, such as Professional Engineer, Certified Safety Professional, Certified Construction Safety Manager, Hazardous Materials Manager or Hazard Control Manager, are desirable but not required.

Originally based out of Houston our client has long term contracts in place with oil majors and EPC's across the Americas, Middle East and Europe. With excellent state of the art testing facilities and assembly shops available for technical issues they really are ahead of the field.
The role:
  • To be the technical focal point for process activities across the Middle East
  • Reporting into the Regional Manager you will be working closely together to develop both technical products and clients in Saudi.
  • Working on existing accounts that have been developed, one of which is with one of the largest oil majors across the Middle East.
  • To assist the sales force with technical presentations on a regular basis
To be considered for the role you must have the following attributes:
  • Chemical engineering degree or equivalent
  • Experience of working with either produced water or separation technology
  • Experience within the Middle East would be preferred

  • Working knowledge in developing and administering resource plans and budgets. 
  • Knowledge of and experience with risk and opportunity assessment tools and in cost recovery management.
