The International Division of the National Center for State Courts (NCSC) is seeking expressions of interest for the position of Country Director in Peru. The Country Director will be based in Lima and manage an anticipated three-year criminal justice training program to be funded by the U.S. Department of State.
The program will assist justice sector institutions to implement criminal procedure reforms. The program will work with the judiciary, Magistrate's Academy, Ministry of Justice and Human Rights, Public Ministry, national police, law schools and bar associations through a training-of-trainers approach that will result in sustainable impact over the life of the anticipated three-year project.

Qualifications
Competitive candidates will have:
- 10 or more years of experience working on criminal code reform/transition to accusatory systems in Latin America.
- Prior experience providing direct technical assistance and training to institutional counterparts, including the development of professional training and skills-building programs such as: oral advocacy seminars, mock investigations and trials, and orientation visits. Prior experience as a legal educator or CLE trainer desirable.
- In-depth understanding of needs assessment processes, work planning, implementation scheduling, monitoring and evaluation and reporting.
- Diplomatic demeanor; problem-solving skills; creativity; and flexibility needed to perform effectively with clients and counterparts in a collaborative work environment.
- An advanced degree in law or other relevant field.
- Fluency in Spanish and English.
